My Projects

List of all the active projects I've started and currently manage, with invaluable design and graphics help from my wife, Ewa Mazur. Most of them revolve around HTML5 games.

Enclave Games

Enclave Games is an indie game development studio building mobile HTML5 games. Based in Warsaw, Poland, founded by Andrzej Mazur (me, programmer) and Ewa Mazur (my wife, graphic designer) in 2012. Registered as a company on March 10th 2017 - from the legal point of view it owns all the brands listed below.

Our games are available for licensing, and given the availability we might be open to work with you as well.

js13kGames

Js13kGames is a JavaScript coding competition for HTML5 game developers. The fun part of the compo is the file size limit set to 13 kilobytes. It runs online for a month between August 13th and September 13th, every single year since 2012. Being able to build a game within the limit is quite the challenge, but a rewarding one - devs emphasize the fact that limitations spawns creativity.

Crucial feature is that all the source code of submitted games have to be available in a readable form on GitHub, so anyone can learn from it. There's also the Resources page where, beside the huge list of various resources you can use to create your game, you can read post mortems from other devs who explain what went good and what could have been improved in their entries.

Competition is getting more and more popular over the years, with plenty of prizes, great experts, new categories like WebXR and Web Monetization, while still being friendly and welcoming to all the new developers wanting to join.

Global Gamedev.js initiative focuses on promoting HTML5 game development.

Currently it's just the news on the home page, but recently the first edition of the online Gamedev.js Jam happened, and future plans include running Gamedev.js Survey to learn about the current state of the market, and organizing an online Gamedev.js Conference too.

Gamedev.js Weekly

Gamedev.js Weekly

Website: gamedevjsweekly.com

Gamedev.js Weekly newsletter is published every single Friday since January 2014. It's a weekly summary of interesting articles, tutorials, tools, resources, demos, games, and more delivered right to your inbox.

I'm quite happy with the fact that many times interesting links are sent over by the readers themselves, so to a point newsletter contents can be considered a community effort.

It is open for sponsorship opportunities and job listings too, so if you want to advertise anything related to JavaScript or games, feel free to reach out.

Gamedev.js in Poland is about meetups, but also workshops and hackathons. We're organizing various events across the whole country since 2012. They all revolve around meeting like-minded people, sharing knowledge, and having fun while building games together. We also have a country-wide group on Facebook to discuss anything HTML5 game development related.

Warsaw meetups gather local community members and allow them to not only learn from the talks, but also socialize and exchange ideas long after the presentations are over. Everyone is welcome to join.
